after having lunch, we headed to the aqaurium by the beach. it was about 30 minutes from town. we walked inside the aquarium for a while and then walked to the beach nearby to have a picnic and let py ran along the beach chasing the waves..

after arriving there, we went to py's granparents' house to pick up her and her mom and then left to find something to eat. surely, it was vegetarian food. we went to the chinese shrine where free vegetarian foods were offered to people. you can carry food containers and get some food from there. you can pay the money but it depends on you. we didn't eat there, though. we went to try some vegetarian noodle nearby.

how are you doing? how was the trip? show me the pictures, please.. i really can't wait to see them..

anyway, last weekend i was away with my mom, sister, her hubby and kla to trang. py is there with her mom to visit her grandparents. we took this opportunity to visit her and see the festival. the vegetarian festival was originally born in chinese provinces. trang is one of the provinces famous for this event. when the time comes, most of the people there eat vegetarian food for 9 days. i tried it last year and it didn't work for me so i didn't do it this year but love to go and watch the event.

i will post the pictures later and hope you enjoy them...

Hi moose!!

I am very very very sorry for not writing anything for more than a month. It seems like I've neglected everything when I hit my busy time. Now, schools are closing and I have more free time for myself to read, write, take photos and travel. I really can't wait for the traveling part. I love traveling becuase I will have lots of pictures to post and loads of things to write about.

Last Sunday, I joined another funrun in Prince of Songkla University. It was no fun at all. Firstly, I was alone. PT was called to work offshore 1 week earlier. He went on Saturday and the run was on Sunday. Bummer! Secondly, on the first few minutes, I started to run, my legs started to hurt badly. I had to slow down and stop many times. I think it's becuase of the running on the evening before the race. I ran like a turtle at the race but glad that I still managed to reach the finish point. However, it was still great to meet and see lot of fellow runners.

It was about 5.50 am before the running started.

I was running to reach the finish point in a few seconds. What a victory!!!

Finally, finally, I got the fifth medal from my fifth funrunning..

and ate watermelon before heading back home. I didn't hang around too long when i was alone. so i went back to my shop to heal my aching legs..

Hey Joy!! Finally I have some cool photos!! This weekend is a long weekend in th UK, today (Monday) is a bank holiday, which is great, I am at home relaxing instead of being at work!! Unfortunately, this is the last public holiday for us now until Christmas... :( But I felt pleased with myself because I haven't used any of my days off since I got back from Japan (early May) so I have more than two weeks' holiday to use between now and Christmas! Yay!

Yesterday I went out with a friend and we drove down to the beach! I live about an hour from the beach, but a lot of the beaches are just pebble beaches, so I made my friend drive to one further away because it's sandy!! It was raining when we left my place but we stopped for lunch on the way, and by the time we got there it was all sunny and wonderful!!...

After this beach we decided to go to a different beach to see the cliffs there! So actually we went to the beach twice but the second beach was very windy so we didn't go in the water. You have to walk for about half an hour to get from the car park to the cliffs.

After that long day I was really tired and slept until lunchtime today! I am really happy to have today at home on my own, I spent so much time with my friends recently (it's fun but...) I need some time to myself, to write and think and paint and stay in quietly at home. I'm so glad to have this extra day!!! And the best thing is, we only have to work four days this week and then it'll be the weekend again!! Yay!!!

hi moose,

how was your weekend? i went to my parents' on friday night. i need time to relax and play with my niece and leave my shop behind for a day..
as usual, after waking up on saturday morning, joon and i brought py for a bike ride. we went to see and play with tienpae. py liked to run on the dewy grass there and eat tienpae's breakfast..

i came back to my shop before lunch time to open my shop and face with reality..

py was playing with tienpae..

my new haircut.. finally, i had it done.. so glad to do it..

Weekend in the Country

Hey Joy!! Sorry again for taking a break... I loved the painting and the scrappies you did! They are so cool! Glad you have been having fun with PT around as well...

At the weekend I went to a party at my friend's house in the country... it's a really big house, really amazing, with great views and a swimming pool in the garden! She invited 5 other people plus me, and her mum and dad were there. We went out to see some old stones (see the photos below) and saw some great views over the countryside. It felt really good to get out of the city for a while!!

My friend's mum keeps pet llamas, they're pretty rare here (and I guess in Thailand too??!) but very cool! They were watching us while we went swimming every morning! I got back into the habit of swimming again since we went at the weekend, so now I am going every morning. It feels really good, but I wish I could go swimming outside again like we did at her house!!

Recently I haven't seen many things to take pictures of (or maybe I just haven't been looking!) but I will try to find some more. This week is quite quiet at work, and we have a three-day-weekend coming up, so I can relax and look forward to that!!! I can't wait!!! So now I'm trying to decide what lovely things to do for those three days...

this sunday morning was a creative morning.. after running, we stopped by at a paint shop to buy oil paints. i wanted to paint the old computer cases and transform them into magnetic boards. and install them in my bedroom where i sit and write.. it's going to be my happy wall..

hello moose,

how was your weekend going?? for me, if you notice, when pt is around, my weekend is quite active and eventful. on saturday evening, we closed shop early and went to the agricultural fair in prince of songkla university. we went there with empty tummies and coming back home feeling stuffed. we stopped to buy yummy foods at every shop we liked to. there were yummy foods from various areas in Thailand; north, east, northeast, central and south. this fair is organinzed once a year. i am quite looking forward to it for the yummy food.

today morning, we woke up at 6 am and was off to psu to run again. 4k and faster than yesterday. yay!! day 5 for my running 100 day goal.. 95 days to go..

i love your stationary collection. i tell you what, i received one in a form of a postcard yesterday.. yay yay yay.. it's really cute and look artsy.. you are so creative..

this morning, i went out running with pt at the dam in psu. we went there at 6 am. the sun hadn't come up yet. it was misty and quiet. the air was pure and fresh. we started off by walking one round and then running 3 rounds, followed by walking along the road in the forest. pt is an active running. he kept pushing me to run faster and longer. he loves to come out and run every day..

Sorry Joy! I'm heerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre! I just was busy last week with lots of things. Mostly this (I know you already know but!): www.profusemoose.etsy.com

I've been making up my own stationery designs to sell online! It took a long time to get everything ready - first I had to paint everything (that was the fun part!) and then scan and edit all the images to be the right size and format, choose paper and cards, decide on prices, have lots of arguments with my printer... but everything works now and it's all there and waiting for people to buy! I hope some people will like them and use them to send letters to people they love.

Last weekend I went to a party (kind of James Bond theme party!!) - it was a really rainy night but we made a lot of cocktails and kept warm inside. Then on Sunday something very exciting (but very secret!) happened, and then on Monday I booked my holiday to Greece. I'm going to the beach for a week! I can't wait! Hopefully one day I will be able to come to the beach in Thailand too...

I am away this weekend but I will try and take lots of pictures for when I get back. It was great to see you and PT back together again and fun-running!! You guys are so cute (did I mention that already???!! haha!)

yesterday was a holiday in thailand (which i was so happy), it was mother's day. i spent my lazy half-day in my room in the morning and came down to open my shop and work in the afternoon. the night before that i stayed up very late to scrapbook. i like to stay up late if the next day i don't need to get up early. scrapbooking at this time of the day is relaxing as i feel no rush. at that night, i scrapbooked and was almost fell on the piles of scrap paper. the little pieces of paper were all scrattering around my bedroom.

hey moose,

on sunday morning, pt and i joined the 14th of hadyai nature fun run. we woke up early and had to be there before 6 am. we were very thrilled seeing lots of running fellows there. this year, there were a lot more people than last year. and after that there were plenty of free food for us to choose and eat.

i like funrun becuase there were all ages of people joining the event. they run with smile on there face. we run and stop, no hurry. lots of kids joined the run too.. i love the atmosphere of it.. and i will absolutely do it every year.. next month will be another fun run and i will do it again.

how was your weekend? i had pretty hectic days with works at my shop. i didn't feel that i had the weekend yet as i still worked like it was work day.. but can't complain about it. this kind of day doesn't come often..

on saturday, we went out for lunch on the occasion of Mother's day before i opened my shop. it will be on august 12, it's the queen's birthday. but we wanted to do it in advance when everyone was not too busy.. after that i had to get back to my shop and tried to finish the translation work before the night fell.

Hey Joy! Sorry I haven't written anything for ages! This week has just been MAD - everything was manic at work and I caught a cold on Thursday so I feel like I've been living in a bit of a haze - feeling much better now though!

I do at least have some overdue photos for you - the other morning there was this AMAZING sunrise on the way to the station, AND a rainbow!! I know I am always posting sunrise pictures, but this one was extra-special! The colours were really beautiful. Then the pictures below that are just a few I snapped after shopping at Tesco on Thursday, while I was waiting at the bus-stop. It's on a huge roundabout and I thought it was kinda interesting, just views of the normal roads and cars, train bridge etc. This is very typical of the area I live in.

Today I'm going to make cookies! And tonight I'm going to a housewarming party so I might have some pictures if something funny happens... but right now I have to get started on the cleaning... :S

how was your day?? i am busy, tired and sleepy.. i still get up at 4 am and have been running for 3 days now this week. i want to run monday-friday and take a break on the weekend (still not sure if i can make it to friday)... . i don't have any plan for this weekend yet but pt is coming back home..yayayyayay!!!!

today i made a mini notebook for my sister.. everything was from scraps in the shop.. i wish you live around the corner so i could make you diaries and jewelry..
this little girl came to visit us today and she was bossing around pretending she was very busy..
when we knew that she was coming, we had to finish all the works before she arrived as when she was in, we couldn't even sit still..
my brother, Jiab-his wife, joon and py.. they came to visit us before they take py to trang to visit her grandparents on her mommy's side....

Hey Joy! Nice pictures from the wedding! Is it normal to have weddings on a Monday??! It looks like a lot of fun to me...

I had a pretty typical Monday - busier at work than usual, but at lunchtime I went for a walk just near work. I found these really great red-brick flats...

A pic of one of the stations, and a church nearby... There's a lot of interesting stuff just in the neighbourhood near the office!! After this it started to rain quite suddenly and all the people rushed into the coffee shops - it was really crowded and kinda funny for everyone!

After work I had to call my parents (it's my Monday job!) and I didn't have any special work to do so I just did some scrapbooking while talking to them. I am really into scrapbooking since yesterday, it is a nice way to unwind and be creative and send messages to yourself to look back on later!! I wish I had more time to do it though...

Nothing too exciting to report today... but it's just a normal day full of little things :D

Hey moose.. the messy look on your desk after scrapbooking was somewhat the same as mine when i was doing my scrappies. I am glad that you enjoy scrapbooking. I think it's a good way to clear our mind and head.. keep doing and keep posting.. I love to see them.

How was your monday going? It's going to end soon here. Things went so quick today. I didn't spend much time at my shop in the morning, instead my sister and I went home again.. We went for a relative's wedding for a couple of hours and then came back to the shop in the afternoon. It was very hot here. The riding back and forth home was pretty sticky..

Today I received 4 postcards from 2 friends. One from Broom, Australia and 3 from one friend in Bangkok. She said that she wrote 1 postcard at a time and sent 4 at the same time and so I could read them all at one time..
This is my happy door (instead of happy wall). It's the kitchen door which I painted before I moved in a year ago.. You can see that your postcards from Japan were there too...

Hey Joy! I loved the pictures of your day with your family and your scrapbooking time! You're a big inspiration for me you know!

Today was another rainy summer day - still warm but wet most of the day. I stayed in bed until halfway through the morning and then went out to the coffee shop for two or three hours - I haven't been there for ages and never in the middle of the day. It was really quiet and I got a lot of writing done. And now I have mobile internet so I could send you messages while I was there ;]

After coming home I took your example and had some scrapbook time - I managed to find a couple of old magazines! It takes a long time to cut out the words and pictures but it's very therapeutic (and it makes a big mess...!)

It was a really happy, quiet day for me, I love this kind of Sunday, and I wish every day could be like this! Tomorrow is work again though :S but at least I have the evenings to myself this week... I will have to find some new things to take photos of for you!

how was your weekend going? i have to say that it's short for me.. ;] i need 3 days for weekend.. now, it's sunday afternoon and i open my shop to do some works for my customers and clear my desk before monday morning rushes in again..

yesterday, my sister and i drove to my parents for a short visit and brought a gift for mom on mother's day. it's on 12nd august but we want to give them to her first so she can use them on the upcoming wedding day of a relative. we gave her a pair of earings and a necklace. she seemed thrilled and surprised with the gifts. before going, i made a quick card for her too.

this morning, i managed to finish reading one book and start another one. then sat wasting my morning scrapbooking. it's my guilty pleasure. i love that moment when i let my creativity run wild.. you know what i mean when you do this kind of things yourself..

i am so happy it's saturday today. i've been waiting for it since monday morning. ;] a busy week had passed now. i was home alone last night and spent my night watching movies. i went up to my room at 1 am after sleeping while watching movies in the living room.

this morning, i let myself sleep in and planned a happy indulging morning by reading and scrapbooking. i love it when i am alone in the house on the weekend. and i so love and miss this scrappie moment. i can say that i am happy and feel lighter now...

hey moose!

cheers to you to wake up before 5 am. i am automatically awake by myself around or before 4 am now. some mornings, it killed me for feeling wide awake before 4 am as i just needed more sleep before the clock alarmed but i couldn't get back to sleep. like this morning, i was up before 4 but still remained in bed until i heard the clock sang. around 10 am, i was automatically nodding in front of my pc again.... that's why i needed a cup of ice coffee this morning.

today is the updated photos of the lotus from yesterday. the petals are totally gone but you still can see the beauty in it.. it's bright and sunny this morning but guess what .. it's going to rain again in the afternoon..

i managed to run 3k this morning. not so hard anymore. what is hard is to put my mind to do it. not the body or the sore legs but the mindset on doing it. however, i won my own mind today.. ;]

i am slowly getting back to snapping some pictures everyday.... due to seeing your beautiful pictures every morning..

a cup of ice coffee will sure help wake this sleepyhead up! fresh from the can! ;]

this morning after reading, i grabbed my laptop and brought it downstairs to type morning page in the living room. but when turning it on, the battery went dead. so i had to run up to my room again to get my diary and filled in a few pages. i am still using this one. it's 2 months old now made by a girl named joy... ;] mostly i carry it with me when i am away but when at home, i type in my laptop. there, i can type fast and furious.. and it spell checks my poor spellings. i like this dairy as it's small and lightweight and i can add in paper later when it runs out of papers, or when i don't feel like making new one....

i cut out this picture from a brochure i got in phuket. i like the body of this guy. he looks so firm and the picture inspires me to learn rock climbing.. as you said, i am the monkey!!!

Hey Joy!! Thanks for getting the pictures of the lotus, I'm really glad you managed to do it before all the petals fell off! And I think you look great in your skirt and flipflops with purple nails ;) very cool and feminine!

This week I have kind of unwittingly set myself the challenge to get up before 5am every day. I still set the alarm for 5.45 but so far I managed to wake up by myself, before 5am, for three days running! It's summer now but the longest days have passed - it is still almost dark at 5am now, a month ago it was already bright and sunny! I love the light morning time and want to make the most of it. Today was a rest day for exercise so I went on a special early trip to sit by the lake near work... these are the pictures (I confess I didn't realise it was THIS beautiful when I was there!)

Here's a puddle from last night's rain storm... I loved the reflection of the clouds in it. It was a special time for me, to get up early and wander around the park, and sit by the lake to write, before heading into work for another crazy day... I hope to find other things to do for my early morning adventures too...

i am back with photos. i just took them at the lotus pot sitting in the front of my shop. i sit at my desk working and watching it everyday, and hoping to take pictures of it. but when i was about to do it, works came in or customers marched in.. i had to keep my camera and waited for next time, until few days passed and the lotus started to fall.. this morning after clearing the copy work for my customer, i grabbed my camera and snapped before another customer came in again..

today i wear skirt. normally i wear shorts when working in my shop, but today i want to feel different. i wear skirt when i am on holiday so today i feel that i am taking a vacation.. at home.. ;]

i love checking our blog everyday and see your pictures. they help lift up my day, really. i am just slacking off taking pictures these days. i think becuase i am confined in the shop digging myself into piles of works.. works works works... i am not supposed to whine as when the bills come, i have some money to foot the bills.. and for our holiday when you come to thailand.. i know that it's still many months away but i am thrilled with the ideas.. ;]

i didn't run this morning. i felt tired and sleepy. tired from running 4 k yesterday. sleepy becuase i woke up 4 am and i had to handle kla alone, joon is in Bangkok for her office things. thinking about running the house alone for a week, i am feeling worn out.. this morning the tap was leaking and i had to run up and down the 4 floors to check and fix it. i fixed it before but it leaked again and i found way to fix it again this morning. when hitting time like this, i missed pt even more... arghhh!!!

today during the day, i will take some photos to decorate our blog and lift up my day..

Hey Joy! Glad to see you back!! I wondered where you'd gotten to... sounds like you had a great time climbing trees, you monkey!

I had a nice quiet weekend. After running 5K on Saturday I was quite tired, but I got up to watch the sunrise on Sunday, and write in my journal (and then went back to sleep again ;]

In the afternoon I went out to the park, got a bit lost (near the windmill!) and when I finally found the park it was really hot! I got a bit sunburnt. The last two days in London have been properly HOT, like real summer - temperatures up to 29 or 30 degrees (I know that's probably not hot by Thai standards but it's hot for London!) Luckily the office is air conditioned but I got SO sweaty on the bus and the train and walking home... Had to carry lots of things I bought today, secret things for my art project ;] I am so glad to be home and get cool again! I don't think I could live in Thailand - it's too hot for me!! I'm such a wimp...

on friday afternoon, py came to my shop with her parents. i had to babysat her when her parents was away shopping..
the little bird one of my customer saved its life.. py was afraid of it..
at night we met up with everyone in the family and had dinner together..
at my parents'. we didn't go out biking as it was pouring since 6 am so we played and chased her around the house..

how are you? how was your weekend? sorry that i haven't posted for the past few days. since coming back from phuket, i hadn't touched my camera and didn't have much time to write.

on friday, py came to my shop with her parents so we played with her all afternoon and at night we went to my parents' house and stayed one night there and here i have lots of pictures to post...

it rained everyday in the south now. so on saturday morning we didn't bring py out for a bike ride but later in the afternoon before we left for hadyai, we went out to dad's fruit plantation to pick long kong (the lemon-sized round yellow fruit). we had to climb up the trees to pick them. it was a good fun as i had to fight with red ants while climbing, and we got a big durian from one of our aunties..

we came back to the shop on saturday afternoon and went out again at night to buy some DVD.. so last night we watched 2 movies and 2 more today.. it's 4 pm now and i just onened my shop and was just online too..

you see the baby bird in the picture. it fell in the lotus pond in front of my shop and one of my customer saved its life. i told kla to bring it to his home to feed until it is strong enough to find find food for itself and kla will let it go later.. i put it in my palm for py to touch but she was afraid of it..

A BALLOON! Yay! You never see these over Croydon, and definitely not at 6am... What are they doing up there??!

It made me really want to ride one!

This morning was all misty and the sunrise was really beautiful. The window was dewy on the outside and this is a pic of the sun through the wet window:

It feels so good to see beautiful things first thing in the morning. I love the cool quiet time before everyone wakes up - it's a great time to sit and think and write, before the day begins. Today should be a fairly quiet day, but lots of good things are happening tomorrow... :)

Good morning Moose,

This morning, i managed to get up at 5 am. I set an alarm clock at 4.30 am but fell back to sleep again and then got up again at 5 am. Yesterday and today I ran 3 k. I wanted to do 4 k this morning but my body hasn't been ready yet. It's so so hard to get back on normal track when I had spoiled myself for the past week.

Your breadmaker looks like Thai rice cooker. What kind of flour that you use to make the bread. I am a bread lover. I love all kinds of bread, especially the newly baked one.. hot and smell so good..

I love your new diary. It looks so relaxing and the user looks more like a beach bum.. I've not bougth new diary for very long time. Mostly, I made them myself. It's easy, quick and it's my style.. I will need to make new one very soon. But before that I need to fill the current one with lots of photos so I will finish it fast and start a new diary.. ;]

Today is that last batch of my pictures from phuket. Maybe I might add some more tomorrow if I don't take any new picture. hehehehehehe!!!

Phew! Monday is almost done! It's such a relief! I had a pretty busy day today, lots of meetings, but it was good and I didn't get bored. I loved seeing more pictures of you at Phuket, especially jumping around on the beach - I think those are my favourites so far! One day I want to come and have a beach holiday in Thailand with you!

You asked about my bread... well, I'm a cheat! I have a breadmaker and it does everything... it takes 3 hours but it comes out great every time!! It's just a little one, here it is in the kitchen:

Today I started a new journal, so it feels like a fresh start. It's a really beautiful journal...

Makes me think of holidays again! I want this journal to be a place to put all my new ideas, not just bitching about my day or writing the same thing over and over... so far it's really good.

Must go to sleep now, hoping to run tomorrow... yawn...!

hey moose,

these are still some random pictures from my trip in phuket. you won't believe how many pictures i took when i was there. i am a photos junkie!

the second day in phuket, we made up our mind that we were going into town whether it rained or not. so after having breakfast, we walked to wait for songtaew to get into town. it took about 1 hour to get into phuket town. when reaching there, first thing i looked for was a bookstore selling used books. there were too many books for me to choose. i wished i lived there so i would have lots of books to read. the name of the bookstore was south wind, owned by a japanese guy.. he speaks thai very well..

after the bookstore, i walked to meet my sister at a bakery shop named siam bakery.. after that we moved to another coffee shop named coffee max.. i like to sit at coffee max with an open area in front of the shop..

here, i met with my two old friends from uni. they lived in phuket and got married last year after seeing each other since we studied in pattani, which was in 1993.

we were so lucky that there was sunlight, though not all day but we were not soaked up with rains like on the first day here..

I'm so glad you're back! Even though it was only a few days, I missed checking in and seeing your pictures every day! Sounds like you had a lovely relaxing time in Phuket... It made me want to go on holiday too!

As you know, K and I broke up recently... I am doing good and feel able to talk about it more now. I'm looking forward to taking a holiday somewhere soon... after the big summer season is over... and starting to do some new things in my life for me! It's quite exciting...

Friday Night

On Friday night I went out with Snowleopard to celebrate her birthday. We went to a gallery and saw an exhibition about buildings made by artists... it was very interesting, some of it a bit crazy, but most of it was very cooll. These pictures are from the bar at the gallery (somehow we often end up in the bar, even at a gallery...!)

Just outside the gallery there are these giant square fountains - you can stand in the squares in the middle but I think these people were getting quite wet!!

i am back from phuket this morning, arriving in hadyai at 2.30 am. joon and i catched a tuktuk from the bus terminal to home. tired and sleepy...
on the first day in phuket, we arrived there at 4 am and didn't have anyone to pick us up but we were lucky that we met an uncle living there and he gave us a lift to the hotel. it rained very hard from the bus terminal to the hotel which made all our bags soaked up with water. when we checked in, the guy didn't know that we were booked but he was very kind to find us rooms and let us check in at 5 am. when hitting the room, we spreaded our wet clothes all over the room. then, we slept until late in the morning..
we can't believe that we are now back to REALITY!!!!

how are you doing today? i am feeling a bit sleepy right now. drinking up ice coffee trying to wake myself up. waking up at 4 is normal and automatic to me now. some days i woke up before the clock alarms. but late morning, i feel sleepy again. that's why i so long for the weekend!

i am thrilled to tell you that i am going to phuket for few days. tonight my sister and i will drive my car to trang to visit py first. she is now with her grandparents on her mother side. after visiting her, we will leave my car there and take a night bus from trang to phuket. we will stay 2 nights in phuket. it's holiday on thurday and friday in thailand. i will be back home on sunday morning..
and on sunday morning, there will be a fun run 6 am. not sure if i can make it but will try my best. i love the running event. and after running, you know i will sleep like a dead fish!

i will be back with loads of fun and beautiful pictures to share with you..

joon and kla at their reading time in my room. before we sleep, joon reads kla's story every night. he is addicted to it now and we have started to stockpile children books. i love to listen to the stories too and sleep on them each night..

Last week I was not alone in my bed... ;]
naaah it was just a mosquito I think... I am covered in itchy bites!! This made me sad...

...but actually it's a silly photo!
This morning I couldn't sleep, got up early to run. This evening I have been painting...

So it was a happy old day for me! Work is easy this week because my boss is away! So I can relax a bit... but it's a bit boring... wish I could take my paints into work and do something a bit more creative!!

I loved seeing your photos of the sea and the sunset... All your photos make me really want to come to Thailand! I wish I was still in Japan, it was so cheap to fly to Bangkok, Singapore, KL, everywhere... and just a few hours' journey. It is far and expensive from London :(
Which is the best place to fly to if I came to see you? You live quite near the Malaysian border, right? I really want to have a beach holiday...

pt was back offshore last saturday and will be back here in one month. ;[ he calls many times already today. this morning, a tap was broken and i had to fix it by myself. i didn't fix it right after it was broken but i waited for pt to call and asked him what to do. he explained me how to fix it and i could get it back to its old working status. on days like this, they make me miss him even more.. ;]

yeah, today i ran 3 k. i felt that it was harder than yesterday which i could manage to run 5 k. and so glad that i got it done. but i miss my running outside with pt..

Trip to the outdoor theatre!

Hey Joy! Welcome back! Did you have a good time with your friends and PT? Has he gone now? :( How long till he comes on shore again?

On Saturday I went to the outdoor theare with two of my friends - it's a beautiful theatre in one of the big parks in London and you sit outside and watch the play (usually Shakespeare) and there are trees all around and butterflies, and you can take your own food and drink ;] we had some really good cherries and strawberries! Yummm! We weren't allowed to take photos in there but you can see some of the stage in the background in the second photo (I'm getting sneakier, you see!) and so we just took lots of pictures of ourselves in the park instead!

I had a really good time but I was soooo knackered afterwards - yesterday I stayed at home and just lay around watching movies and painting and napping all day! It was great but sadly it's Monday again now... I wish the weekends were longer!

I'm just heading out for a run now, did you run this morning?

Wednesday Sunrise

Hey Joy! How are you doing? Feeling a bit better now?

We had the most amazing morning sky here this morning!! I really wanted to show you. I woke up by accident just before 5am and was really glad I did - not only did I get to see this great sky, but I managed to get out for my run before the rain started - it has rained ALL DAY here again :( - everyone is saying our summer is over already :( :( :(

The morning was really busy at work, we had a kind of inspection thing, and I had to take care of that, but the afternoon was really slow and boring, and I felt tired from running. Luckily, in the end I managed to do some translation, and that made me feel better. Then I came home and have just been doing my own stuff - writing, making cards to send to some friends, writing in my journal, doing some artwork - I wish this evening time could last longer. This month my weekends are all very busy, so I really treasure my quiet evening time instead.

I wonder if it'll rain again all day tomorrow too :(

Rainy Monday

Hey Joy! Hope you are feeling better by the time you see this! It's horrid to be sick :(

Yesterday was a really on-off day; we had crazy rain in the morning:

I tried to catch a picture of the raindrops on the edge of the window...
This was the view over my neighbourhood on this gray, wet, Monday morning! I got wet walking to the station :( But it cleared up a bit during the day - I managed to go for a walk at lunchtime and only got wet for the last 5 minutes!

This was the view from the office just before 5pm - we had a crazy storm after this, it rained and rained and rained all night!

And then when I got home there was this fantastic rainbo right over the town: in the picture below you should just be able to see the double-rainbow reflected in the sky. It's the first time I've ever seen a rainbow this bright in London!

But after that it rained again, most of the night... except this morning it was bright and sunny and I wished I'd gotten up early to run, but I was too sleepy... this week I have decided only to run if I wake up by myself at 4.30 or 5am (which usually happens every other week!) - my alarm is normally set for 5.45am, which is just enough time to get up, do tai chi, shower, have breakfast, catch the train and then have a coffee and some thinky-time before work. I usually have about 45 minutes or an hour to go over my goals, and write in my journal - this time is very precious to me, and worth getting up early for!

Today I bought a new mobile internet device, so I can make sure to have internet even when my home connection is broken (of course, now I've bought a new one, today it's fixed itself!) But if the new one works really well I will get rid of the home connection altogether. The new connection can be used anywhere and it's wireless so it should be very handy any time I want to use my computer in a different place! I'm excited to have a new toy for my computer!! Yay!

hi moose!

i am feeling sleepy now. it's 2.22 pm here. i woke up at 4 am and ran 4 kms this morning and that's why i am feeling sleepy. i just finished translation work. what a relief! now i am free until the next work comes in again.. oh! actaully, i have another work which i forgot, until now. so after writing this, i have to get back to work again..

today i felt great becuase i've started my day with what i love; scrapbooked at 4 am!, ran 4 kms (which was a real surprise to myself), finished one more book, typed long morning page and i didn't nibble any sugary stuff today!. i want to keep doing them for 10 days; both running and staying sugar-free.. not sure if i can go 10 days with running and without sugar but wait and see how far i can go..

i haven't snapped any pitures today so i post pictures of flowers i took during the weekend instead. enjoy them!

On Saturday I got up and did my normal routine of taking the train to the swimming pool... it was a cloudy morning...

Afterwards I climbed the small hill behind the station and enjoyed the view over the race course and the countryside... you can see for miles and miles and miles from there!!

After that I came home and I was exhausted, so I took a nap... then did cooking and cleaning all afternoon until I left to stay at my friend's place!

this morning, i was woke up 6.30 am by py. i really wanted to sleep in but it was not going to happen if i slept in the same room as her.. after brushing teeth and having breakfast, we went off riding bikes..

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures today :(
Something upsetting happened this morning but I can't really talk about it yet.
So I've been up and down and up and down all day.
It's been a good day apart from that - I learnt how to do tai chi finally, got my accountant certification, got the afternoon off work to go to the dentist and had some good news when I got there! Went food shopping and made a new recipe at home - lentil and spinach curry. It was yummy, and very filling, but it made a big mess of the kitchen!! I will have to clean it up tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm going to stay with my friend, because she's going to run a 10K race on Sunday morning and I am going to cheer for her!! Then we will go somewhere nice for brunch! I'm excited about it! So hopefully on Sunday/Monday I will have some more good pics for you!!

Sorry to hear PT had to go to his dad's - that means you'll have less time with him, right? But at least you get to see your family too :D I can't wait to see more cute pics of you and Py!

good morning moose!

i am feeling much better today. actually, i am happy today. last night after chilling out and watching movie alone, i felt the peace.. i sank myself into stillness and quietness and just watched movie and sipped baccadi, alone..

this morning, i went out running at psu alone. didn't bring motorcycle but walked from home and started to run when i entered psu... the morning was so silent, peaceful, fresh and i could smell flowers along the road... i feel very peaceful, really...

i ran two rounds today.. but felt more like jog, kept on jogging and taking photos while doing 2 rounds..

today, pt is going to bangkok to visit his father and will be there for a week. i will be going back to my parents' with my sister and kla. so i will take lots of pictures while being there.. we planned to bring py to bike around the village. she loves that so much..

so happy that it is friday again.. ;]

Tonight I am just gonna slob about at home and watch a movie, and then hopefully chat to K (he promised to wake up early but we'll see!) and then get an early night!!

Right, I have been doing a few silly things recently and I need to get a handle on them. (1) I’ve been having too much caffeine, not realising how tired I am, and pushing too hard to get stuff done at work – need to ease up now and save some energy for me-time at the weekends. (2) I have a lot of plans this month but I have started having nightmares about some of them so I think I am just not as sociable as I have planned to be! Need to get through the stuff I’ve already promised to do, and then think carefully before agreeing to more stuff!! (3) mystery-situation-C! Leave it alone! It’s not worth it!

With that in mind today is going to be a virtually caffeine-free day of calm, it’s time to take the pace down a notch or two and realise that everything does NOT have to be done at once – it’s just when I get pumped up I feel like it does! In reality I can work through everything at my own speed and it’ll all work out fine.

Hey Joy!! I finally got the pictures uploaded from yesterday - and now I'm really glad I did because today was gray and rainy and I was happy to be reminded of how beautiful the weather was yesterday!!

This was the view from my office yesterday morning: !!!!!! (I think it's almost the best office ever!)

So there was no WAY I was missing out on a walk in the park at lunchtime. Off we go... fancy an ice-cream on the way? (this is right by the exit from the subway, always there to tempt me...!)

Today was another crazy day, I don't know why work is so crazy at the moment! It felt good to get a lot of work done though, I was really busy and tired but I felt that I accomplished a lot... and I will get an early night tonight...!

last night i had a quiet night so i could sit scarpbooking.. it's really scrap bc i made it from the billing envelop.. have to find some more magazine to cut out nice pics...

this morning, i want to breathe fresh air so i asked pt to go out running with me at psu. he never says no to me.. ;] we started by walking few minutes first and then ran to the dam.. it was very very very fresh morning.. it's a good place to clear our head...

as before, after running, he started walking to look for jampee.. he really likes its smell...

Disaster!!

Oh no!! I forgot to bring my camera home from work!! I took some really excellent pictures at lunchtime but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see them!! I'm really bummed out about it!

Instead I thought I'd show you some photos of the different places I've lived...

This was my house in Japan... it's cute with the red roof and quite big (three rooms + bathroom + kitchen) inside. Unfortunately it was very old and next to the mountain, so there were a lot of bugs and one time I got a SNAKE in my kitchen!! I screamed and ran and stood on the sofa! It was really horrid!!

It was cute on the inside though, lots of tatami mats, and lots of space (I had a LOT of stuff then and it took ages to clean everything!)

This was the bedroom, cute huh?

And this was my room when I was at uni... I had great big windows looking over the garden, and a window seat. It was a really huge room and really great!

...but kinda messy...!!

And this is my room now! Just the one room with a little kitchen, and a separate bathroom. It's so expensive to rent in London, but this is just the right sized space for me:

I love it because it's really light and doesn't take long to clean! And of course there are no snakes!! But sometimes it's a bit noisy because it's part of an old house and I can hear the people next door and downstairs. But I love it. And I chose all the furniture myself which was awesome!!

Today was a really HOT day in London, really super sunny all day. I didn't do anything really exciting, but I called K this morning to say thank you for the package, and had a nice coffee before work. Today's the first day of July so I wanted to think about how the first half of this year went, and make some plans for the rest of the year. Then I went to work, did some translation and some other bits of work, and some language study, and had a really nice walk in the park at lunchtime (you'll see tomorrow...!) Came home and just want to collapse now, but will try to do something constructive before bedtime!!

Tomorrow's Wednesday! Almost halfway through the week already! It's going really fast :D

this morning pt and i didn't go out running. i just ran on the threadmill and was heavily sweating.. late in the morning we went to tesco to shop for the shop. we bought lots of things and but we went with pt's motorcylce.. it was fun and challenging as we had to find way to bring all of them back to the shop..

A Parcel from K!!

Today I got a parcel K sent last week... in it were some presents (for my birthday!), some tea, a card and a letter...

Ooooh exciting! it's a parcel!!! I love getting surprise parcels!!

This is the bag the presents were in... kinda cute huh??!

These are little bars you put in the bath... they're called "bub" and they make the water go pretty colours and smell great too!

He sent me a new headset for when we chat... really useful! My old one is so broken!!

And a cute card with happy elephants... actually he often sends me things with elephants...

But the best thing of all was the Elmer soap/shampoo dispenser!!

Isn't he the cutest!?? I LOVE it so much! And when you push down for the soap, his ears pop out!!

I filled him up with my new coconut shampoo and put him straight in the bathroom, for tomorrow morning... I think he will make me laugh every day!!

I wonder how K managed to find such a cool present??! He must have looked really hard! He's awesome!!

Monday Morning

Hey Joy!! How was your weekend? You look sooooo happy in your pictures going out with PT in the morning!! I love love LOVE the pictures from your morning runs, it looks so peaceful and beautiful - it looks like such an amazing place to go running.

As a coincidence, I took some pictures of my morning route as well, on the way to work. It was a really gorgeous sunny morning and I wanted to take some pictures as I found a prettier route to the station recently...

Right next to my house there is a church, and in the garden of the church there's this tree... it always catches the morning light really beautifully:

I got you pictures of three more doors on the church (guess you are gonna be sneaky and steal these for your cheating doors goal, eh??!!)

Then I have to walk down a boring bit of street, and then I can cut through the little park to get to the station. Recently the park has been really beautiful on sunny mornings...

There are usually lots of squirrels around playing on the path and looking for food, but they were all hiding today... guess they are camera-shy!!

Today was a really weird day at work, because I was helping this new guy who arrived from our HQ. He's going to live in the UK for a year, away from his family. I helped him understand some internal things about our company, and then took him to some places he needed to go in town. On the way back we did a little bit of sight-seeing (actually I really wish I'd remembered my camera because it was a gorgeous day and we saw some really beautiful things) and we had an ice cream!! I love it when my job is like this. But we walked for ages in the city heat (and I ran before work this morning) so my legs are pretty exhausted now!!

I wonder how he will cope being away from his family...? It makes me think a lot about K, and whether family should be the most important thing...

before the busy day walks in again, i want to update my monday morning.. but before i update my monday morning, i want to tell you that i love your feet photos... you know i like to take pictures of feet and toes. so no worry, you can upload feet photo as many as you want... your feet are cute and look so smooth..

this morning, i woke up at 4 am with the feeling of having enough of sleep.. this still surprised me why i didn't feel sleepy or crappy as other mornings when waking up at 4 am.. then i wrote my in journal.. atl 5 am, i went inside the bathroom to detox and read.. today i started reading a new book.. actually it's not new as i bought it 5 years ago and i've finished it long time ago but wanted to read it again. it's about living simple life, living lighty and living smaller...

at 6 am after preparing breakfast for kla, i ask pt if he wanted to go into psu to run again.. he said why not? so we were off with his motorcycle, left it in the front of the gate and walked inside.. then ran to the dam.. it was a beautiful morning, very quiet. we went there earlier than yesterday.. the air was pure and fresh.. we talked and ran and finished 2 rounds easily...

after running 2 rounds, pt wanted to pick jampa again so i let him climb up the tree and watched for the security guard for him... he took 2 jampas today.. then we came back to the shop and started our busy monday morning..

Duvet Day!!

My internet has been playing up today so I hope I can get these photos uploaded and posted before it goes off again... soooo annoying!!

I spent the whole of today in bed!! Went to bed really early last night and slept for 10 hours until 7.30 this morning... then watched some movies and fell asleep a few more times, all day... just ate and slept and wrote in my journal...

Then I painted my nails a new colour!! It's my one big exertion for today :D

This is the new colour I bought on Wednesday: it's called "mercury"

Then I went back to bed again!! But at least my feet were happy!!

Actually I did get some real painting done this afternoon and finished off the pieces I wanted to finish by the end of June... so I am happy, and enjoyed my relaxing day without doing any cleaning, or studying, or going outside.

I was waiting a long time to talk to K too, he was late home today. Weekends are usually our days for talking online unless one of us is out, today he went out but he got back a lot later than usual so I was worried about him! Then afterwards I found out that he'd been lounging around in a hot-spring and then went out for sushi at my favourite place!!! Without me!! I really want to go have sushi now, but sushi in London isn't as good as sushi in Japan and it's about 4x as expensive so it's just not worth the money... I will have to wait till December...!

Anyway I was glad we got to talk, the time difference with Japan is 8 hours (in the summer) so he went to bed at 1am just as I was getting ready to have tea at 5pm...

Sorry I don't have more interesting news! Hopefully I will do something a bit more energetic tomorrow!!! Enjoy your time with PT, and say Hi from me! It must be wonderful to have him back again :D

hello moose!

i love your train trip and your picture on the train. you look a great in that piture!! you are so motivated for going out to swimming.. there is a pool very near where i live, in a walking distance, and i have longed to go there but never have time to do so... i think i will ask pt to go with me next saturday...swimming with him is fun..

last night we had good and quality time together..after closing shop, we went out to tesco to buy something to eat.. we planned to stay home and watch movie together.. my sister and her husband went out shopping.. pt and i decided to stay home watching movies and drinking together.. he had few beers and i had a bottle of raspberry baccadi.. we went up to our rooms at midnight, a bit drunk and sleepy.. i love this quiet night with him with some chatting and giggling.. it was time that we really longed for....

as i told you i would try this machine with pt.. so last night when we were at tesco, i tried it.. a little boy standing there before me not knowing how to play with it stood watching me playing and after that he went back to his mom telling her how to play and begged for 10 baht coin to play with it too...

Hey Joy!! I'm sure you're far too busy having fun with PT right now ;] I'm so glad you get to spend some time together for the next couple of weeks. Actually he reminds me of a guy I used to know (a little bit...!)

This morning I dragged myself out of bed and went swimming... it's a little pool I found quite a way from my house but it's nice and quiet and not busy on a Saturday, also sometimes I hate going up to London at the weekends if I don't have to! I have to take a train that goes through the countryside and then walk for a while but it's worth it to have a nice long swim without bashing into people all the time!!

good morning moose,

it was a lovely saturday morning. i woke up a bit late. i let myself sleep in until 7.30 am. i didn't plan to run today, just wanted to take it easy with quiet saturday morning.. i love quiet weekend too...

last night i scrapbooked until 1 am.. i was lost with time doing it..

when i got up this morning, i continued doing it. it was very relaxing. but not feel active like the day i ran.....but still love the lazy feeling on the lazy day...

after scrapbooking, i sat writing morning page and playing with my camera.. it was fun playing and getting to know more about the camera. took many shots with various angles..

also, this morning i finished reading another book. yay!! another one down the shelf..

my friend came in at 11 am. she bought papaya salad for us to eat and talk. it's been a month now that i've not seen her. it was great talking and catching up with her.. she lives in songkhla and i live in hadyai, just 25 kms away but we don't have much time to see each other....

pt just called after he has landed. he will be home in about 1.5 hours. i haven't told you that he lives in my house but in the second floor. previously, when he took a break from offshore, he has to find a place to live during his 2-week break. he used to rent the place near my shop and came to help around in the shop often..(he haunted in my shop in day time.) my sis saw that we still had a vacant room so she offered him to stay with us during his break... ;] so he will be with me for 2 weeks..

Hey Joy! Sounds like you had a really happy Friday! And I guess PT will be back by now ;)
I didn't really do anything or take any photos today - just had a good day at work, did some translation and finished up some jobs for the end of the week. I came up with a new idea to encourage myself to learn other languages more... I'm excited about it a bit! But I have to think some more...

Anyway I went shopping this evening (Friday night is my favourite time to go shopping, so I can cook nice fresh things over the weekend :D)

I bought some decaf tea to try... I've been drinking a lot of tea recently and I think I have been getting too much caffeine!!

And this morning I tried a new type of conditioner - it's yoghurt and berries! It smells really sweet and I love it!!

Tomorrow I will have a quiet Saturday at home - I will try and go swimming in the morning, if I can get up, but I am soooooooooooooo tired now! This is the most tired I've been all month! I am so looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

I've really enjoyed our first week of doing this blog - I have been out and seen things and taken loads more photos than usual! It's great!

my niece and my dad were here. they didn't come together but they came to meet here. and the living room looked like it was hit by a smaller storm than last time..
i managed to run 3 kms and total distance for this week is 18 kms!!! oh! i am so happy!!
i am going to close my shop early again today and have an early night again..
i will have my "me time" in my room.. kla is back to his home already...
i had cat nap in the afternoon.. just tired but felt best after waking up..
it's saturday tomorrow.. ;]
it's time for scrapbooking soon...

scrapbook i made last night
this one i made this morning.. thinking (wishing) that i would have a relaxing morning..
after running, i brought kla to school. he said today was a boyscout day and every student had to were the uniform.. it was a pretty hectic morning as while i was scrapbooking, he was just finishing his shower and looking for his pants. i had to look around for him, ran up and down stairs and found them unironed in his closet on the second floor. i had to ran down to iron for him while he was having breakfast...
this is his school; partly a school and partly a temple. i drop him there every morning at 7.30 am and pick him up at 3.30 pm..

mmmmmmmmmmorning mooooooooseeeee!!!

what a surprise seeing all of your door pictures! they are awesome. can't believe that you take all the pics just when you went out at lunchtime.. i really love them.. you hardly find colorful doors like those in Thailand, except in my house! ;] also the sunrise photo, really beautiful..

now i have to keep my camera handy, in case i see something interesting and want to share them with you..

i am happy too today. starting from last night, i could close my shop at 8 pm and went up to my room no later than 8.30 pm. as my sister was here, she could read kla before sleeping and while they were reading books, i scrapbooked for our trip in penang. it was a relaxing time and i finally went to bed at 9.30 am.. i love an early night..

...but..this morning was pretty hectic, starting from searching for kla's pants, trying to finish running before 7 am, bringing him to school, taking shower and while getting dressed i got a phone call from a customer saying that he was waiting downstairs coming to pick up his work.. it was not even 7.30 am yet and he was downstairs already! so i had to run downstairs giving him work and open the door and after that customers started to come in for printing their works before they went into the school. they like to come around 7.30-8.00 and most of them come at the same time and i was all alone in my shop this morning.. i ran like a monkey switching from one customer to another.....

now it's 11 am, time to take a break a bit from work and be a housemaid doing the dishes and cooking for lunch!

ohmygod! it's friday and it should be more relaxing that this! i will be back again before bedtime.. ;]

Running Morning

This morning I got up early to run... Accidentally woke up at 4.30, before the sun...

The sun came up while I was out running and by the time I got back it was light.

I love the early mornings in the summer, especially beautiful, clear, sunny ones like today. It's so peaceful and cool for running and writing...
